Baby Avery Jones born in may 7th 2006 , is the new edition in Mike Jones life!!!Mike seems to have less spare time to work on his contest vehicles, but is enjoying watching his daughter grow!! Life and time seem to sure go faster with work ,research and business, but the time Avery gets is well worth it!

There was a good turnout at the show sept.29th a "loud" Saturday. Door shaking bass was getting put to the test at the Usaci SPL contest. Customers got to finally see how loud they could burp there cars.

Custom Sound works Project "260sx GTR" has the heart of Godzilla!

The new project car was going to be strong, good looking and comfortable. The 1990 240sx had a transplant with the heart of the Godzilla a R32 skyline GTR. This engine needing a little work to get running.

This is the RB26 engine , the baddest engine ever built in japan. Revs to 9000rpm ,inline six cylinder ,capable of a 1000hp on stock internals , what more could you ask for???

After the rb26dett engine was tweaked ,the interior was done, sound system was finished and a coat of fresh green paint was thrown on the car.this beast was driven daily to tune it to a perfect drivability. After it is finished a estimated 600hp (24lbs boost)will be on tap at the press of a button! 320hp at 9lbs of boost is fine for daily fun! Learning and tuning a hard, rare engine like this is good tuning practice . Custom Sound Works are 240sx turbo specialists and have done several ka24de-t , Sr20det , nx1600 and other Nissan vehicles. Doing work on the rb26det and power fc tuning would be a challenge. Hopefully the dyno will come soon!!!!!

Redoing paint on the 240sx GTR kept the same color, rebuilt the front bumper and made a custom hood.

After modding the opening ,intercooler gets more air ,looks good for stock bumper getting cut up! New fiberglass hood cut up also for air flow.

Door panels are getting some new mods.

260 GTR has new steering wheel and new full interior redone to match the outside paint.

Trunk gets some new tunes with a DD 10" sub and 2 amps to get power.

Mike Jones the "SPL Expert" goes to Australia!!!

Michael Jones is very famous around the world for doing research and help developing Hi-end Car Audio products for many top manufacturers in the Car Audio industry. A competitor in Australia needing some aid in SPL tuning had requested some help from Crossfire. They new that to get some "real results" there is only one man that can get it done rapidly . Crossfire flew Mike Jones and his wife Laura down under to oversee the designed system mike jones had engineered thru emails. Vernon Aliberti a very nice man who had been building the new SPL van called Ice Age 2 had made a friendship with mike over months of phone calls ,emails to get the new designed box started. Mike Jones only has a week to get it finished built, final tuned and get in-phase. The goal was to break the current Australian 2007 super street record of 158db . Mike Jones designed a wall for the odd shaped Australian mazda(ford) van. Keeping the frequency aligned with speaker wall is important.
