CustomSoundWorks has broken another World Record on B&K in Extreme Class to a 178.0db!! It wasn't the number the team wanted ,but was happy to do it in a short time. No one was able to pull more than the 177db of last year from a traditonal seating arrangement type of box and not isolate the microphone making it harder to do the SPL higher! That made Custom Sound Works feel good ,that no one in the world could get hi SPL with out using the isolated bandpass design box. Mike Jones has challenged the world to a SPL competition using the traditional design which is so much harder to defy!!! (a cab that is similiar to a real car interior) And still no one can do over 177db without using the very creative bandpass which is much like a pocket that makes the cab so small and is easy to do big numbers with.That takes the challenge of the game away. It seems now that every competitor is copying box design and "the game is lost its creativity" Some teams were getting bigger numbers but had to copy a bandpass design from the good finlands DD guys loading up the passenger side making the SPL easier to do. Even with these crudly rough looking vehicles, Custom Sound Works put on thier best efforts to get the Hi SPL without cheating. Trying to keep the grey area of the rules out and game up . |
